Data Sources

ViolationLookup aggregates publicly available federal enforcement data from three agencies.

OSHA Enforcement Data

The core inspection and violation dataset comes from OSHA's public enforcement bulk download, available at osha.gov/enforcement. This dataset includes every OSHA inspection and violation going back to 1970 — activity numbers, inspection types, citation types, initial and current penalties, and employer information.
